What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
At my current level, I am satisfied with my pay. However, sometimes the hours I work do not equate financially.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
For competitive market in today's economy, not great.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Sep 2024
Lack of transparency around bonuses and raises. I know my friends at other firms get paid more
First year lawyer, Perth - 17 Jul 2024
Pay could increase, but still satisfied and happy.
Lawyer (1st year), Perth - 10 Jul 2024
Perks are fewer than a lot of other firms. Pay is probably market standard for BigLaw.
Graduate, Melbourne - 10 Jul 2024
My pay is reflective of the value I put into the company. Therefore, I'm extremely satisfied with the remuneration.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Jul 2024
The pay is very generous. I am not sure about bonuses, as I haven't been around for a bonus.
I am paid slightly above market rate.
Should be far higher
Postive. Unfamilar with bonus structure, but understand there is one.
Competitive
The pay is very good for the company size and the level I am at. I am very satisfied with the pay and the opportunity for bonuses - the bonus policy is accessible to anyone
The increase from graduate to first year lawyer was disappointing. There is significant difficulty due to the use of bands and the firm's inflexibility to go outside these bands to recognize talent.
As we are not yet entitled to bonuses I am unable to comment as of yet. With regards to pay we are paid above award and in return we work extra hours if and when required. This is a trade off I am happy with.
So far so good
The pay and bonuses at my firm are quite good.
Pay is quite competitive given the comparative size of the firm in Australia. I believe it reflects my workload quite well but there is little transparency as to bonuses and pay raises. These will likely become clearer as my time at the firm increases.
The pay is relatively in line with the rest of the market. I have not been informed about what is required to receive a bonus.

Relative to other corporate law firms the pay is less however I think we have a better work life balance and that is more important to me than money.
Graduate, Sydney - 25 Jan 2019
I have been happy with my remuneration reviews to date and feel that my direct partner would advocate for me every time it came up.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Breakfast and barrister (even better when it was twice a week), ubers home, late dinner orders, Christmas parties
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
Very generous perks
First year lawyer, Perth - 17 Jul 2024
We have free breakfast or lunch (alternating each week) every week. We have a gym subsidy option. Juniors are placed in offices. Most CPD sessions and Presentations are catered for.
Lawyer (1st year), Perth - 10 Jul 2024
Ubers are definitely one of the best policies. If working back late or you need to travel for business, the firm will reimburse any costs associated.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Jul 2024
Fringe World tickets, gym subsidy
Fruit baskets.
Occasional events
Gym subsidy
The firm social club!
Free lunches
Taxis, dinners, Friday drinks
Probably the odd tickets to shows/movies and lunches for the team/clients
I am yet to experience any perks. I know that there is a partial contribution towards a gym membership. I don't know many who utilize free meals for working late. Other then that I cannot say there are many unusual perks.
Taxis and free dinners. Gym subsidy.
There are some benefits for health insurance and car purchases but these seem to be mostly outdated and are of little interest to me. These need to be improved.
