Coming from opposite ends of the US, Cristina & Liliana connected in Madrid. Some would call this a coincidence, but we like to call it fate. Destined to thrive, they wanted to have an international experience that would make their resumes stand out. Having concluded their internships in Hospitality and Marketing respectively, our lovely interns wanted to share more about their experience in Spain.

Sarah, a high school graduate from Montana, was interning in Dublin as part of her gap year when the coronavirus hit. After being sent home, she chose to pursue a virtual/remote internship in Colombia for 20 hours per week to gain global experience while working part-time in Bozeman. "This remote internship has helped me to realize my potential in many ways. It's helped me to realize that I want to study computer science and that this is something that I'm passionate about. It's also something that I wouldn't have explored had I not done this virtual internship."

The Intern Group partnered with Aga Khan University in Pakistan to award three deserving medical students full-ride scholarships to gain international internship experience in Colombia. This initiative was set up to expand access to international education and to encourage cross cultural immersion and understanding.

Hunter, a student from New Jersey, interned at an international booking agency in London, which represents musicians, celebrities and athletes. Hunter chose to intern in London because it's one of the music capitals of the world and he wanted to launch his career in the music industry. "Doing an internship abroad is much more hands-on than anything you might learn at university. You actually get to experience the job, rather than learn about in the classroom, and you're presented with real responsibilities."
